How good do they work, I've heard that they were not that good and I want to make one so I can use it in my room. So is it worth it?

I have now used 3 different vaporizers. A light bulb vape, a vapor genie, and a vaporwarez vaporcanon 3G.

While it is possible to get vapors out of a light bulb, if I were rating it on a scale of 1-10, the performance of the vaprcanon being a 10, I think I'd rate it a 2 at the most on a good day. You can get high with them, and they don't smell too bad, but it's not going to be the most fun youv'e ever had getting high, and isn't really representative of vaporizing in general.

dude, for a lightbulb do you put the weed in the bulb and heat it from the bottom or am i way off and vaporizers have nothing to do with weed, lol

as far as I know that's the basic principle behind the lightbulb vap, never tried one myself.
I very much want to try a real vap tho, never had the chance to.

I made a lightbulb bubbler a few months ago, it was cool till it broke :P

My suggestion, do not attempt to make your own vap! You can mess it up so easily and it can produce some stuff that is mighty bad for you(defeats purpouse of vaporizers) it is so difficult to make because what a vap does it heat the weed at just the right temperature so the oils are released, but the maryj is not scorched.

I have probally smoked out of a lightbulb vaporizer close to 10 times and the effects can only be halfway as good as those of a real vaporizer if u even do it right. When using a lightbulb vaporizer make sure u use a clear light bulb (duh) and grind the weed up b4 putting it in. after you have placed the weed in the lightbulb make sure that the flame gets no closer to the lightbulb than 2 inches. hold the flame steady for atleast 2 mins. and remember the longer u heat the lightbulb up the better it is. another factor is the size of the lightbulb (bigger obviously being better)

I don't know about all vaporizers in general but when I made a lightbulb one it got me high but it was a completely different kind of high. A very, very clear headed one, one where its easy to function but your body doesn't feel quite as good as being stoned off of some good weed out of a pipe or bong. It also tasted pretty bad, was very harsh so we ended up running it through a water bottle afterwards to cool it down. They definetly get you high off of a very mininmal amount of weed, they are easy to make but in my opinion its not the kind of high I enjoy and the taste and harshness of it make it something I don't use very often.

Well I made one using a lightbulb, tape, and the top of a pepsi bottle. It will work but your shit should be ground up to the maximum. Use a candle, you'll waste precious butane. I can probably find that video of how to make it... oh here it is. How to make a vaporizer using a lightbulb.
