For all those people who are scared about using tim foil for screens because of health risks (which I think are overblown) what do you think the screens you buy or are in the faucet are made of? Aluminum!

I think some people are gowing overboard with this whole Aluminum foil scare. As long as the foil doesn't get red hot and starts to turn white, you should be fine.

But I just use the little sceens from a Pipe/tobacco store, it's easier than the Tin foil. (I'm a lazy stoner)

Go to the hardware store, they sell big baggies of screens for like a dollar in the plumbing section.

I dont see why tin foil screens would hurt anything, unless you smoke very often (which id think you would buy a good piece if your an avid smoker).

On another note, should you use screens with glass pipes/bowls that just have the little hole?

I've used tin foil in my homemade pipe for quite a while, but now I have a glass pipe (thx to my wife!) and I use a screen in it most of the time. Works great.

Windows screens are usally made of aluminum, but now most are made of plastic and some kind of twine. (don't use those! LOL)

Screens are made from all kinds of materials ranging from aluminum, steel, brass, bronze, to even stone.

As for those who are worried about health risks from inahling the heated metal, a greater concern should be the actual inhalation of the smoke. Just a thought.
