I was off from work today, and didn't feel like smoking out of a pipe, so I decided to build a bong. My friend (Klax) was home today too, so we built the thing.




We used a torpedo (Featured, fully disassembled here) We only used the bowl and lid, not the rubber mouth piece. We used garden variety garden hose and electrical tape, we cut the hose with a box opener and garden shears. Two jars, which we punched holes in the lid with a folding-knife (probably not the best idea... but it worked) and taped everything together.

Cost: 0 dollars. All of this is easily found in your own fridge ("Mom, I finished the jelly today - sorry"), and in your Garage if you have an old hose. If not, that might run $10-$15 at your local hardware store. Use a kitchen knife, or old screwdriver to poke holes in the lids. Just be careful not to cut yourself.

Time: About an hour.

End result? A decent two chambered steamroller that can be used as a bong, ice bong or steamroller - in any combination. Cools the smoke and almost never makes you cough. Easily made at home. If you don't have a bowl to put in it, you can use a metal screen (from inside a sink, or out of old screen doors) inside of a 1/4 inch lugnut.




If we get decent feedback, we'll try to post some more specific instructions later... We'll also try to make some more stuff.

Yea, in reply to the reply that you made on my bulliten, I saw that and was contemplating making my own. How long did it take you to make that?

Took about an hour, would've taken less, but we had to repeatedly go find more supplies, looking outside, around the garage, etc.

First, the equipment needed.

1. Box opener
2. Knife (Switch-blade or folding knife)
3. Tape (Electrical) or Hot-glue gun (This would work better)
4. scissors
5. A garden hose (or other hose)
6. Bowl / Tin Foil
7. Pickle Jars/Mason Jars/Tupperware containers, any container which is fully sealable (air tight) and you can put 2-3 holes in, and water/ice if you'd like.

Then... take your containers and line them up, cut your hose with the box opener and scissors - remember to cut long, instead of short. You'll go through multiple hoses if you cut them too short - and that'll be a big waste. Use this flip-knife/switch blade to put holes in the tops of the mason jars/pickle jars or sealable contaiers, shove 1 hose in so it goes under water, this will be the hose that brings smoke in. Tape it/Glue it into place, then cut another hole and insert the hose so it hovers above the water - it shouldn't be under water or too close, because you will be taking air/smoke out of the jar with this one. Do this with as many containers as you'd like... but be careful, the more containers you use, the harder it is to fill them and the harder it is to clear them before the smoke goes stale. Also, the more containers the harder it is to pinpoint leaks if there are any.

It worked OK, it got some air seepage which made it hard to hit, but if we get it air tight it'll be awesome.
