nah man. pop bottle or water bottle will work. you need two holes, one for burning one for hitting considering a wine bottle is glass u can neither cut nor melt a hole in it.
get a two liter.
hold it side ways and pop some holes in it with a pen or needle, id say about 10 little holes thru the bottle and a strip of aluminum foil on top.
Light that and suck through the top of the bottle. you can also melt a little hole on the side and hold ur finger on that and release for a shot gun. gets u higher !

Why couldn't the OP make a bong from a wine bottle? It would be no different than a soda bottle, liquor bottle or beer bottle....
You CAN drill a hole in a glass bottle if you know what you are doing and are patient. It also helps if you have a drill bit made specifically for glass or masonry.

Oh, and potheads hang out everywhere.

Ummm I've never done it myself but ive seen it done but if you have a dime or a penny or something you can make a hole in a beer bottle, so i assume wine bottle would work. You drop the coin in swing it around to build up speed then hit the bottle against your foot. The idea is to get the coin to hit the side of the bottle with enough force to make a perfect little coin sized hole, once thats done (it may take a few tries, grab abunch of bottles) you have 2 holes and can therefore make a bong.

Potheads? Look around, my dad was a pothead when I was growing up, I never suspected a thing. But then again this is Colorado, even the cops here are potheads.
