I forgot to pack the slide for my bong last weekend. Still wanted to get high, so I bought a carrot, did some carving, and made myself a bowl.

Then after I caught a nice carrot-tasty buzz, I made a bigger one.

The next time, I couldn't bring the bong, so I made a steamroller out of a potato. That was much better.

Haha! That's awesome, You should take some pictures next time i'd like to see that. I've only made an apple pipe. Personally my 2 liter does me quite well :]

How did you gt the long part of the carrot hollow? I guess you were using a pretty big one eh?

I cut it into thirds first. Trying to punch a hole through the center with a chopstick would've splintered it.

steakii, I used it as the bowl for my bong - already had the downstem and bong with me. Just got too high before I left and didn't pack the bowl. It was sitting, still bubble-wrapped, right there when I got back.

the potato was easier. just use a whole one, then ram something all the way through it. a knife would work. I had trouble getting the chopstick all the way through. Then cut a little circle of potato out of the top and slowly hollow it out. It helps if you have a short, thin knife.

So did you use the carrot as the slide for your bong, or did you just use the carrot as a pipe in place for your bong? I think i might try to make a homemade bong with a carrot and a water bottle after reading this, as it sounds like it will work good and be safe.
