So me and my friend both work for a moving company, and we work together quite often. We always see stuff in peoples' homes and we are like Oh My God that would be awesome to smoke out of!

So at this one lady's house she had this majestic looking purple whalebone (one of those hugely tall glasses that hold about 60 ounces of liquid in them- you usually see them on cruises and such)

I aksed the lady if i could have it, and she told me she was going to throw it out and i was like... lol so we took it and after work, we stopped at a local glass shop and bought a female slider and a male bowl piece, as well as a rubber piece for both.

15 minutes of working the rubber piece onto the slider with soap and hot water (the male had a small rubber stopper to be worked on as well), cutting the slider hole, and sanding the top smooth produced:



what you see resting on the top of the bong, is the actual top of the bong (its upside down). the mouth opened up into a huge funnel, which is impractical for a bong because you cant have an air-tight seal when you hit it. So we cut the top about 9 inches down, which left us with a nice bong a foot and some inches, and a nice cone/funnel for blowing shotguns or taking knife hits of kif. we sanded the ends of both smooth and this was our 15 minute bong (oh it hits like a champ too)

Nice work dude. I'm assuming it's glass then? It looks like a killer bong. I haven't heard of a whalebone cup, but now I know what they are!

nope its plastic.

you dont want drunk people walking around with that much glass in their hands- believe me, they sell you those for like 50 bucks but they are filled to the top with long island ice team, or margarita, etc so after you finish it you are pretty wasted.

Ah yes, that would make sense then. A giant glass container does sound like a weapon in the hands of a totally wasted person.

Make sure you keep it clean, resin can be a bitch to clean off plastic.

yeah i know they can they seem to get dirty real quick too

but for 30 bucks (for the glass/rubber) and 15 minutes of time aint bad for this baby. sure wish it was UV reactive color though, that would be insane

I love homemade bongs. I have one jst like it. Except it was clear. They work beautifully especially if its think plastic.

Nice ive made a few bongs like this from these plastic cups you get from sports events,fairs...etc They always manage to rip pretty hard as well
