Maybe not the greatest prank but kind of funny...

Remove the ball from a co-workers mouse while they are away from their desk and sit back and watch as they can't fingure out why it doesn't work.

It's actually quite easy. The bottom of the mouse has a small plastic retaining piece that comes off. Usually about a quarter turn. Drop out the ball, replace the plastic retainer and put the mouse down. Make sure NOT to lose the ball so it can be replaced when the joke is over.

Check it out with the mouse you are using right now.

If you use cloudy tape over the laser in an optical mouse it has a similar effect.

Even more fun, if you're into techy pranks...
Get a wireless mouse (preferrably bluetooth or RF, since IR requires line-of-sight) and connect it to a coworker's computer. The receiver is on their computer and the mouse is in your hand.
Then, at random times, preferrably at a time when they're trying to do something that requires mousing precision, move the wireless mouse a bit.

I'm willing to bet you wouldn't feel that way if it were your car that had all teh windows blown out while some teenager giggles his ass off.
While it's safe to say that my moral compass is decidedly different than yours, I can not fathom how anyone thinks it's fun and enjoyable to destroy someone else's property.

My assistant has a wireless mouse. Don't know what kind. I will see in the morning. If I did as you suggested she would just think that someone from Corporate or one of the owners PC techs chimed in on her. They watch the computers to make sure we stick to work and don't bring in viruses to their main server.


I have to agree with you. I have always felt that way. If someone really pisses you off to the point that you want to be distructive, just paint all the windows black on the vehicle. It's not destroying something they worked hard for but they will have to put some elbow grease in there to get it off but it will come off. That will piss them off more than anything. You wouldn't want someone to destroy your personal property that you worked hard for, or your parents worked hard for, whichever shoe fits.

When I was in high school, I ordered 1000 crickets online and let them loose in one of the buildings of my school. It was funny as heck cause for like 3 months we heard crickets in class.
