Hey there all,
Happy smokin to you all as i partake myself!!! I am headed to Las Vegas in the morning and have read post after post on the pros and cons of flying with your stash. I have done it once before when flying from Los Angeles to Atlanta, but i just put a baggie in my mouth and went through airport security. Even got stopped and searched when my belt buckle (yes im a fucking idiot) made the metal detector go off. I pushed the baggie into the back of my mouth and was ready to swallow and let it take the hershey highway but didnt yet. They manually scanned me and sent me on my way. When I arrived at Hotlanta i just put the baggie back in my mouth and walked out.
While it was a great kind of rush feeling like a rebel, I dont think i will do it again. That nugget did get us high for a day until we were able to make a contact in Atlanta. See thats the problem. I hate trying to find some when i get to vacation. The point of vacation is to stay high all fucking day long (for me thats not much different than any other day that ends in Y) but still its vacation high and that makes it better.
Okay, any suggestions? I am sure i can find some in Vegas but,,,, the heat and shit. I just would rather be high!

The mouth thing sounds like a good idea to me. Just don't sneeze.

If your in LA just drive over and avoid the airport altogether. It takes as long to drive there as it does to fly if you consider driving to the airport waiting there for at least an hour or so, air time, getting of the plane at McCarren and going to their remote baggage claim, and getting a cab to the hotel. PLus you save on cab fair once your there because you have your own ride.

Triple-bag it with Ziploc freezer bags, removing as much air as possible. Put it in your crotch.
when you go through security, remove all your metal from your person (including the belt!) and go right through.
The puffers don't look for pot or THC or anything else, so don't panic if they make you go through the puffer cabinet. The baggie isn't going to set anything off, either, but from your previous experience you know that already.

Once you're through security, you can remove the sack from your crotch and put it in a carryon bag or a zippered pocket or somewhere safe where you're not going to run the risk of having it fall out on the terminal floor or anything.

Also, remember that possession in Las Vegas is a felony, as tragic as that is. If you confine your toking to a residence or hotel room, you shouldn't have any issues. No burning a fattie while you walk down the strip...
Although I think that it would be really cool to blaze up on the bridge while watching the fountains at Bellagio dance to Sinatra.

Okay. So I ended up taking a 20 sack and wrapping it in 2 baggies and then duct tape around it. I popped it into my mouth when i got to the airport and acted natural. I was natural because i didnt smoke that morning because i didnt want to smell like it. I was a little nervous, but no problems. Made it to my hotel and was able to roll 4 tiny joints out of the sack. I was there for 4 days so i was struggling. I normally smoke 4 joints in about 2 hours so you know my head was tripping. The heat and crowds didnt help much. I ran into several people on the strip trying to see if i was selling any (cause of the locs i sport). I was looking for some and here i had people thinking i was selling it. I was bummed. Needless to say i smoked every last morsel out of that sack and now I know if i ever go back to vegas...DRIVE. That way i can take my sack and chill.

Thanks for the offer. Maybe nextime we can hook up and smoke a bowl. Until then, Las Vegas is in the middle of the fucking desert and July is too hot for that trip...especially without being fucked up...
