Hello from Colorado!

I started toking back when an oz was $10 - those were the days - though I haven't had a toke in about 15 years. Not that I quit - between marriage, kids, drug-free jobs, and other "stuff" I just sort of stopped. Even so, I've always been pro-marijuana and have tried to counter-act the propaganda that DARE teaches my kids by giving them more "balanced" information.

Now that I'm self-employed (last few years), I've been thinking about partaking again. Especially after seeing so many beautiful bud photos around here

I have a similar story. Smoked back in the day then just sorted stopped for about 10- 12 years (maybe a few times during that period) then just got back into it on a regular basis this year, with a lot of help from this site and the people on it.(Thanks by the way).

Cool. Welcome! Although, I don't know if I'm really qualified to say that, as I've only been on here for a few weeks.

But when you browse around these forums, don't be discouraged by all the kids. There's plenty of good stuff in here too. lol

Although I may be a kid to you, as I'm not old enough to remember when an ozzie of anything decent here in the States was only 10 bucks.

It's nice to hear you're teaching your kids the truth about marijuana. I plan to do the same with my daughter. While I won't approve of my daughter smoking under the age of 18 (I guess it really depends on her maturity), I won't flip out if I find out she tried it. I expect her to try it, but as her mother, I feel it's my job to keep her focused on other things until she'd old enough to make the decision for herself.

I hope to "see" you around the board. It's a cool place to hang out with other like minded folk. Have fun!

28g and dailysmoker - That is exactly what my priorities will be if I have kids, I wouldn't like it if they started smoking, but I'd let them know what it does, causes, and how it affects you with jobs, so I would tell them to know what they are doing first before they start... (If they start, I'd try and smoke a little with them, but I ain't letting them get in trouble too much...)

This is the more laid back side of the boards I like to think, and not just the youngin's side. I don't think we should say the lounge is just for kids. We have some very smart and mature people that post here exclusively, regardless of their age, and I'm proud to be a member here, too.

I think you'll find a great bunch over here who post about music, books and other things we don't talk about at Cheaptalk, so I guess you could call this the "brains" or the operation.......
