| Just saying hi, looks interesting here I'm a writer (I'm just about to have a book on weed released), I also write about mentalism, play rock guitar, am a Buddhist, and enjoy everything from researching early civilizations to cosmology and physics. I'm a daily user and have been for about 12 years now, though I've been taking it for about 20 years in total. Melt |

| Welcome to the Lounge Melt! You'll find a wide range of ages, interests and personalities here, but we all have one thing in common. I just can't recall what it is at the moment. You've got an interesting list of hobbies. Let us know the name of your new book so we can check it out.

| Hi All, thanks for the welcome. Seems a lot more civilised here than on certain other boards... ![]() I'm sure advertising and links aren't allowed, so I'll try to say what I can about the book without actually naming it. It's about cannabis use and the high rather than say, growing it. The first chapters are on avoiding/reducing tolerance, stopping Green Outs, dope anxiety, or any other kind of negative highs happening, increasing the depth of the high, etc. The later chapters cover techniques you can use to explore the high itself and reach altered states, how to meditate stoned, and deeper ideas and methods associated with cannabis as an entheogen. I'm also hoping that if I can help people avoid having any bad effects from dope then it's less ammunition for the anti-drug mob to use against us. If we can all be seen to understand the high and can self-treat when things go wrong there'll be far fewer unfortunate events that the media can latch onto. There really is no reason for anyone to have bad highs as they're so easily avoided, and I'm still surprised that nobody has figured it out and wrote about it before. Actually, being of a slightly cynical nature, I suspect that the medical world already knows full well what they're about, but are witholding the information so that drugs will continue to be seen as leading to mental illness. There's no doubt that anyone with mental problems who uses cannabis will make their condition worse, but dope anxiety and the short term weirding out you can get with it, is easily stopped. Sorry, that was turning into a rant there Mods, if I'm allowed to say the book's title and put a URL here, could you let me know? I've also been looking banner rates for the site for my publisher - could you also point me in that general direction? Thanks.MelT |

![]() The book is called 'How to Be Good at Being Stoned'. I think maybe the best site to point you towards is xxx.myspace.com/marijuanameditation, it has more info about it. MelT | |
