Hello-- S2 here

Seeing as I have been away from this place for a while I figgered I'd best say hello and offer up a little self description-- especially given that one of my attributes is love of a good well thought out, unemotional written debate.

I do like to debate things political. I enjoy interacting especially with those who differ in their views. I have learned plenty in doing so but an even longer list are things antithetical to my positions and using these to hammer on my self for an objective honest self admission. (Public admissions and reversals are not always to follow internal ones )

When I say unemotional I mean it-- I really do not get emotionally invested and though I may quote individuals and single out some for responses, my debating is not personal, it is the issue that is my focus. I may dismiss some in my mind, but try not to do that in the threads. That is not to say that I am not capable of posting something pertty ignorant when I'm in hurry though. (I'm addled with ADD and sometimes I rush a post out of fear that I will forget about the thread and point )

I am friends with Rick- since well before buying The Garden's Cure from him in April 2007--well at least I used to be-- the guy never calls Been around MJ.com and Hempcultivation and now gardens cure since 2000 or so. Poon--er Forge Gorman and Plains know me pretty damned well and if you ever are wondering if you should get pissed over something I write-- they are good sources to tell you if you may be misunderstanding me or if "Yep, S2's bein a dick"

I am very very laid back and tolerant and I struggle with what I see as remaining value in some of the longstanding institutions in the US that I agree are straining at the seams to remain relevant in many cases, but also have served us well in arriving at the position of security and comfort for a great many of us and no good alternatives are presented other than throw the existing under the bus. I seek and embrace change, but also try not to to do for the sake of it.

I am a capitalist and not only believe in the compassion that can exist in capitalism, I embodied it and have encountered many others who think and act likewise. I had my own business with over 200 employees and also worked for 4 years in a successful, private sector, secular based jobs for the homeless program that used capitalist principles and no charity as the basis for the program. (operated basically like a temp or contract employment company only our customers were companies who were willing to allow us to place homeless folks who ordinarily wouldn't even be able to apply much less be hired-- we had to start by teaching how to get up and go to work every day you are scheduled)

I've grown some decent and I smoke the fair herb. I think that it ought to be decriminalized, but don’t like the idea of it treated like cigarettes and booze-- I'd rather it stayed a cottage industry. I don't think that minors should partake in anything psychoactive-- there’s plenty of time for that as an adult and when you get al little older you realize that you were still growing and that it ain't such a bad thing to allow the genetics to play out as long as possible before messing with the wiring. That said, no one deserves to go to jail for violating any prohibition no matter the substance.

Any way, I bopped over not too long ago and find myself posting and possibly stirring things up due to my positions and style and figured I'd lay out a bit fo a disclaimer.

One thing I wonder though, once you are bankrupt in grams, do you get booted, cause I borrowed thousands then gave them all away and no way will be able to pay them back
