Hello everyone I'm 20 years old. I started using pot when I was 15 after (4-17-04) a horrible tragedy that changed my life forever. My best friend and his mother were killed by a stalker. He was a user at 14. My only regrets were not smoking with the kid. All that aside, pot has only been a gateway for inspiration and artistic creativity. I hold it close to my heart no matter what anyone tells me. It's lifted my spirits through some bad times. I suffer from severe anxiety and the only thing pot does is quell those feelings. Recently in the last five months I've run into some legal trouble and I came here not long ago to find help on detoxing. I've found so much useful information here it's crazy. I plan to stick with marijuana.com to give and receive insight, and to have a little fun while I'm at it! Thanks, hammercloud

I'm new to this site too. I guess I'll do my intro here. I smoked weed when I was a teenager and loved it. It was inevitable that my parents caught me though. I never got to enjoy MJ after that. I started smoking regularly about 6 months ago and really benefited from the positive effects. Its provided me with excellent sleep patterns. I have less craving for alcohol, and tobacco. It has virtually healed chronic pain I have suffered all my adult life. It has made me much more sociable and the best part is I am a full grown adult that has a handle on life this time. So anyway I want to get a bong today. I have been putting it off because I didn't think I needed real big hits. My small glass bowl is starting to feel weak though after a few hours of regular hits. Last night I really wanted a bong.

I bought my first bong (Big Blue Boston Whaler was its name. stood 1' 1/2" HEAVY as hell) passed down through generations of pot smokers and even lobbed through a wall without breaking or cracking. Sold it to my friend who treated it okay, but he broke the expensive slide that went with it. Ahh the good old days...

An update on my smoking status: Probation for the next twelve months starting today. And a monthly probation officer fee of $42.00 and another fee for $150.00 each month. The story: My friend and I were coming back to my house after a quick visit at her place I had a gram on me that I thought no one would find so I didn't think to eat it when we got pulled over for her not wearing a seatbelt and running a stop sign.. I also had a prescription which they ended up dropping the charges for, luckily, I was in fact prescribed it.

I think it's been around 3.5 months since I last smoked. Never had any real cravings or anything. I also haven't had a beer for that long either. Straight-edge. I haven't had a drug test in Cobb yet. The probation officers seem really slack kinda opposite of what I've heard about them. I feel like I've really kicked the habit to the curb now. No desire to smoke I am "above it." I also found out by watching the documentary Super High Me that the common accepted age to start smoking is 27. I won't pick it up until retirement if I even remember where to get it. Quit the valium 2 months ago too.
