I remember when I was nervous to buy my first pipe. I went in asked and bought, that simple. The worst they can do is say no. try to not make a big scene and dont look sketchy. Look as if you were ging into any old store, browse for what you think you would like, then ask if they could take it out of the glass display case for you to see. You could better your chances by going during a weekday when people are less likely to buy pipes and such. less people in the store equals less witness's and thats what the headshop workers will most likely be worried about.

My suggestion...don't smoke YET. Get an education first so you can have your adult life in order. Then you can make an adult decision.

My advice is, research MJ and do what you think is right. If you beleave you are mature enough to hanlde MJ then you can use it, if you aren't, then you can't. I am 14 and I use MJ, but I do so from an educated perspective. I researched it for months before I even took my first hit. And btw, you can just make one, and use some creativity.

I agree with merry, you don't need to buy one when you could easily make one, there are a lot of methods, and a lot are posted in this forum...some of my best pipes were home made.

I bought my first pipe when I was 15 from an antique store, it was an old Chinese opium pipe that had been blocked off with wax...no questions asked. It was a neat thing...kinda like a Sherlock Holmes pipe, with a brass engraved handle and a porcelain bowl that was delicately painted with blue designs...it was stolen by some dumb kids...

I am not going to lecture you about the evils of MJ at such an early age, because I would be a hypocrite, I started at 14 also, just make sure you are informed, and don't let it rule you, because it can, very easily if you let it.

The key in everything in this life is balance. Balance is acheaved through moderation, and moderation is acheaved by knowing your limits, and sticking to them. Sometimes to know your limits you have to push them a little, to understand them, and to understand the consequences, but as with everything, pushing your limits, in moderation, is a good thing. The trickey thing is, your limits change, that is why you have to test them once in a while, but it isn't good to push them too often, because then you will burn yourself out.
