Saw a post on this from about a year ago, but was a bit different then what I am asking...

I am moving from the East Coast to Cali and have a very nice bong that I would like to bring with me. It's pretty big, about 2 ft. and HAS BEEN USED. If I clean the hell out of this thing and send it Overnight via FedEx or UPS am I a complete idiot?

If I were going to be shipping something questionable, I'd use the US Postal Service. I know it seems odd recommending a GOVERNMENT agency to ship your illegal goods, but in reality, its the safest way. To open first class mail, you need a federal warrant. if you read the tiny print when you ship somehting fedex or UPS, you're actually agreeing to allow them to open your package for any reason they see fit. Its MUCH harder to get permission to open mail than it is any package shipped using other means

thank you! and as far as the law goes, what does it state about a bong that has traces of resin? i mean i plan on using many bottles of 420 cleaner and maybe even going so far as to put the bong through the dish washer a few times to make sure this thing is clean...but i just want to know the consequences going in...

also, if i don't put a return address on the package and show no traces of me sending it to myself who is to blame then?? the sender or the receiver?

Yea id just clean the hell out of it and hope for the best. Soak your stem in rubbing alcohol and salt for a night or two. It'll take the resin right off.
