I am humiliated, stabbed in the back and without work.t.

Employment terminated along with any hope of saving some money this summer.

does anyone think it would be a good idea to call them and ask apologetically if I could use them as a reference?

Lesson learned...
Don't talk about anything incriminating with people you don't know you can trust 100%.

And you could always try. I doubt seriously you'd get a reference of any sort.

Darque gave you some good advice. Keep your mouth shut in the future. Until you know someone for a substantial period of time tell them nothing about your illegal activities and drug use. Most people can't be trusted and there are always lots of trouble makers in the workplace who will not think twice about ratting you out, often times for no reason at all.

you know i lost my job for smoking marijuana. stupid person reended me and i still had to take a drug test. but the boss said he would give me a good reference.

I will be on the job hunt - again. First I've got to try a few local factories & then if all else fails, employement agency.

I have learned my lesson, this isn't the first time my fat mouth has gotten me fucked over before.

Falling into league with untrustworthy people is beginning to become a habit for me and its time to break it.
