just curious incase i ever decide to have a large grow-op. what are the grow laws and penalties in BC, Canada? anything up to lets say 500 plants. if i ever got busted it would be my first offence and i have no criminal record. i hear alot of things from people that the laws are real slack right now, but i also hear the exact opposite from people so i just wanted to know for real what the laws and penalties are.

Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Specifically look at Section 7(2)(b), that's the official punishment for cultivation.

I'll be honest with you here; 500 plants is not a personal grow, and I really don't support commercial operations. Try it if you want, but keep in mind that people are getting sick of commercial grow-ops in BC, specifically those that bypass hydro meters. It's an area with heavy involvement of organized crime, and there's no guarantee of your safety.

Keep it small and you'll be better off. After all, we're in this for the culture and the high, not the money, right?
