| Ok, first I wanna say I am NOT advocating smoking weed during pregnacy. I have smoked for nearly a decade now without stopping, I smoked during my last 2 pregnancies and there has been NO adverse side effects on my other children... in fact both of them are very advanced in school and devolopment. I am NOT saying it was/is the right thing to do... Currently I am 8 mo pregnate. I haven't been a heavy smoker just a few hits off the pipe during the day. Yesterday I was informed by a friend that now they 'screen newborns for drugs' I need to know if this is true? From what I have read they can test the Meconium which can hold evidece of drug use during the last 4-5 mo of pregnancy... I am freaking out... does Nebraska test, yes or no? if yes, do they test the blood or the meconium? I quit the sec I found out... yesterday... not that it will help alot... If I do not smoke again during the pregnancy would the thc still be present in the babys blood and if it is though the meconium is there anything I can do at this point??? |
