So I've been talking it over with friends, acquaintances, and other stoners, and they all agree that this idea isn't bad. So here it is:

Every time you buy a piece, before ever using it for the reason you bought it, buy some tobacco, flavored if you like, and smoke it with your piece outside, right in public, making sure you're in a place where you can smoke cigarettes. Naturally some police will approach you, and if you aren't an idiot and don't have any weed or other paraphernalia on you, you should get off clean. First of all, is this true? And second of all, will this potentially destroy the idea that pieces are only for weed?

No, tobacco being discovered in a glass piuece on a tiny number of occasions won't affect the idea that glass pipes are routinely used for marijuana, when the number of cases with such pipes containing drug residue far outnumber the number of glass pipes that have been seized that only contain tobacco residue. Thats like asking if drinking orange juice out of a milk carton once will destroy the idea that orange juice comes in orange juice containers. Quite personally, I would never do it, becausae I see absolutely no reason to intentionally create contact with law enforcement officers, especially pretaining to things that, though likely legal under the circumstances, would associate me with illegal drug use. Its asking for headaches most of us would never want to deal with

Well at this point, my only reason for doing what I'm thinking of doing is because it would be a legal kick in the nuts for the police, which in its own way makes it all worth it.

Do you really want to piss a cop off? Better make sure that smoking tobacco is legal for you (your age group). Nobody better have any warrants. When that cop finds out you're screwing with him, he'll no doubt want to screw you also. Just keep that in mind.

Although I think that would be a very foolish move and would not advise it, the impact would be greater if you loaded your pipe with that fake weed you can purchase at your local smoke shop. You better bring the bag with you to identify it as a legal substance or you would go straight to jail for sure.
This reminds me of a video I saw on youtube where a bunch of high school kids had a party with kegs of rootbeer, doing kegstands in the front yard until the police showed up and made everyone do breath tests. Everyone passed and the police were pi$$ed.

If the fake stuff looked/smelled enough like marijuana, the poster would do striaght to jail ANYWAY....just because you offer the packing doesn't mean they have to take your word for it. If it was a close enough resemblance, you'd be charged with possession until lab testing could confirm that it WAS NOT marijuana. An officer could, in good faith, arrest someone for possession if he truely does believe that the substance is marijuana and snot some substitute. Again, I could just as easily put REAL weed in a "fake weed" package....do you think the officer would just read it and send me on my way?

i recently got some fake weed for free with another order and it looks and smells nothing like weed. it looks more like wheat. it tastes like s***. so disgusting. cops would know its not weed, but
still - that would be a really dumb thing to do.

"FAke weed" can look like a bunch of different things. I've seen samples that, to the untrained eye, could EASILY be miostaken for cannabis. PAge through a "High Times" magazine sometime and tell me some of that fake stuff doesn't look pretty real

they make it look so real in those magazines. the pictures are probably photoshopped.

my buddie bought some of alot of kinds cuz is so cheap and it all looked similar and smelled nothing like bud.

Regardless, the OP is simply asking for headaches most of us would have the common sense to avoid completely. Even if it didn't get you arrested, it would still bring you to the cop's attention, and he'll be more likely to remember/recognize than if he'd never tried it. He sees it as kicking the law in the balls, when its really his own balls that could wind up in a sling because of it. It may or may not wind up as an instant arrest, but overall, all it acomplishes is one officer now having a grudge against you making it more likely to be arrested ion the future, rather than possibly being cut a break. if someone purposely distracted me from my duties, only to basically say "Ha Ha , fuck you!!" I'd remember the name/face, and rest assured, that person would NOT be catching any breaks on anything from that point on.
