| I have a court order saying I must attend an outpatient/inpatient treatment center for drugs and such. It also states that I must be inside every day by 6pm. I was walking with some old dude that said he would buy me a pack of stoges. He was obviously tipsy. He said he had to run to the bar to grab a 6 pack so i followed him to the bar and he went in and did not return within 10 minutes, so I decided to start walking home. A cop pulled up. he repeatedly asked me questions, and made me empty my pockets. I had a dub in my pocket but he didnt make me pull my pockets out. at this point I was scared shitless. He asked for my name and address repeatedly, checked my nose mouth and eyes. He also did the flashlight trick where they turn it on and if you stare at it they know youre intoxicated. Now I'm hoping he wont investigate further and said he'd be patrolling the area and would make sure I got home safe. Now I had been pretty boligerant to the judge and they took me into custody until my next court date. I don't feel like going to JDC for another week. The police officer won't really do anything, like he wouldn't of taken down my name and address after I left, correct? I know I'm taking this a little too far, but I just smoked, I'm high as hell, and very paranoid.. I haven't faced a dub in a while, and this isn't even turning out to be a good experience. |

| I really want a solid 2-3 posts saying nothing will happen so my paranoia will subside and I can go to sleep. |

| No one here can assure you of that. You were inviolation of a court order, and if thats discovered by the police, theres absolutley nothing stopping him from contacting your probation officer or the judge. Its not guaanteed he'd do this, but In can't seem him NOT doing so if he realized you were in violation of a court order. What that means depends on how the judge reacts if he's told. It may not be a huge issue, but then again, if you caused him problems previously, I cant imagine him being too leniant

| This might seem a stupid suggestion, but have you considered following the terms of your probation. You seem paranoid about breaking it, and if it causes you that much distress, just put up with the babysitting for the next (6 months?). Apart from that I cannot give you any advice on what could or might happen if you get caught in violation of your parole. Phuzz might be a good place to start. |

A good way to find out would be to wait a few days, then call your probation officer and ask a very generic question (ie. when is my next appointment with you? etc.). If they don't mention anything about a report from officer so-and-so that he stopped you after curfew the other night, I'd say you're OK.

Frankly, it's impossible to do what the OP wants us to do - which is to give him a "solid 2-3 posts saying nothing will happen." How could we possibly do that? Even if we did know all of the circumstances involved that got him put on this strict curfew in the first place and all of the circumstances involved in this most recent incident, we still would have absolutely no way of knowing what the cop is thinking and how he will act. And not only that, but we also would have no way of knowing what would be inside the mind of a judge, either. So not only do we have a lack of information that would assist us in assessing the situation as a whole, we also lack the ESP abilities to predict what the cop/judge involved will do. Or at least I don't have ESP...does anyone else here?I think the best advice anyone here could give you would be what Flyingdonk said, which is to actually follow the terms of your probation. I don't understand how it could be that hard. By your own admission, you were already out when you should have been home. You're a juvenile walking around town with some random drunkard (!!!!) who offers to buy you a pack of smokes, he goes into a bar...and ten minutes later you have to leave because you had either already broken or were about to break your curfew. So, basically, what I'm taking from your post is that you were already cutting it pretty close and rather than heading straight home, you went frolicking around town with a stranger. My God, I cannot imagine why on Earth things didn't work out any better for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you get out of this out without a hitch, I would really hope you'd take it as a sign and try not to be out close to six whenever possible.

| i have been in two similar cases like yours but there wasn't a curfew and no drugs. Now i take it your under 18 cause you mentioned JDC? But the reason the cop takes down that info is if they find you later in a ditch or if you commit a crime and they get a description of you. The cop that took down my info when i was in school out at 3am he also called my parents i got grounded for a week and 3 weeks the second time. Now being that you had a mandated curfew you may be going to JDC. |

| Well, I think that nothing will happen, but I cannot gaurantee it. Nothing is stopping the officer from contacting your judge/probation officer. You didnt tell him that you were violating a court order did you? If you did then the cop may feel obligated to report it. If not, I wouldnt think anything of it. He probably just did it for a scare... | |
