I've done it before, but over through the Sault Ste. Marie border through Michigan's upper peninsula. I was on a family vacation to some property we have up there, so I was with my mom and dad. Me, my brother, and a friend of ours each had a quarter which we put into deoderant containers. I took the deoderant itself out, cut the bottom off of it, and put the bag in there. I then put the top of the deoderant back on on, so that if anyone looked a it, it would look ordinary.

The only problem with this was the weed tasted like deoderant! It still got us high, but it was a little harsh going down.

All in all, it is generally a bad idea. I wasn't going to be in a city where I could perhaps find some, and I was also going with my parents, and they know what to say at the border to avoid any problems.

haha suede! tell my mum! haha! She's a nut, and blames the breakup of her mairage on pot. When she found my bong, she was cool for a day or so, and she even said she would smoke with me so that i could show her it's not a bid deal...but then she went to see her psychiatrists and they told her marijuana is the devil's weed. It's all very silly, seeing as how one of the books i purchased to educate her had an entry that stated that marijuana can aid post-traumatic stress sufferers.

However, i do respect her rules, and that is why i am not going to partake of marijuana until i am out of the house and on my own...that is, whenever i am not in the house and under my mother's watch...oh, and when i've got my head out the bathroom skylight after she's gone to sleep...

We're getting off topic here though...what's the best way to get a half oz of marijuana over the border? I think thick saran wrap + many baggies + an airtight box would be the best bet...

I'm not sure sure you want to get into smuggeling munitions into another country........that is not ussualy taken very well......combined with drugs....eack~!

A sudden increase in Marijuana use would justify a crack down.

There will definetly be weed in Sascatchwan. I have never noticed the border to be a problem all they ask is Do you have fruits of Vegetables etc. but if you play it cool they don't even suspect a thing but it may not be worth it. I would suggest just trying to find some weed in the Prairie land.

one time when I was really small I went with my parents over the border at the bridge at windsor. They asked my parents if they had our birth certificates, and they didn't so we had to pull over while one of our relatives drove the certificates over. It sucked, we had to wait for like 2 hours. I don't remember if they searched us or not, but that is my only experience with the patrol. If you parents are doing the talking I don't think they would search the car. Just pretend like you are sleeping while they are being questioned. Therefore, no paranoia, no possibility of them suspecting you. And again, I have been over the border over 50x with my parents, probably closer to 100x. And they have never asked to search our car.

One time my family and I drove across the US Canada border to go see a baseball game, well on the way back we were stoped at the check point or whatever, well while we were stopped they asked the basic questions you know got any fruits etc.. whatever well I was like 5 at the time and Im suprised I can remember this, well while they were askin the questions I had a lil toy gun in the trunk that I bought while up there so I stood up in the back seat and said "THERES A GUN IN THE TRUNK!!!!!!!" and they were totally freaked out and they searched our whole car and it was a really long experence, and my mom and pops were very pissed.

Well anyways back on topic here, I dont think you should try to bring it across the border, to much risk, but what you should do, is get a local phone book up there and just look up headshops or they'll prob be under Tobacco Shops or something then go there and ask the guy that runs it or whatever where you can score some weed, simple as that.

Happyman is right..............putting it in ammo isn't a good idea.

Guns and ammo are tightly restricted in Canada and importation of ammo into almost any country is tightly restricted. You'd have to have a bunch of paperwork to even bring them in.

I must not have been clear enough...

The bullet method would involve a person who is an avid hunter/employee of a hunting supply company. The guy would get all the necessary paperwork, and then transport shotgun shells or whatever accross the border legally. However, the shells on the bottom would be filled with compressed pot.

That way, if the dogs allert on the pot, its handlers would definitely think it's because of the gunpowder.

As for the guy who said an increase in use would cause a crack down, i disagree. The government has put just about all the resources it can towards stopping drugs. Laws, such as those that prohibited alcohol, were rejected because there was no way to enforce the law that a significant percent of the population broke. Politicians know that marijuana is not evil, but until a large number of people start using the sweet herb and proving the 'righteous' anti-drug faction wrong, there's no way it'll be legalized. Therefore, more pot in the US is a good thing )

Actually, narcotics detector dogs are almost never explosive detector dogs for a very good reason............

If my dog alerts on a car, it's good for me to know if I'm opening it to look for drugs or for a bomb. If the answer is bomb, I'm not the guy that should be opening it.

As far as being an avid hunter (doesn't matter) or a supplier, ammo isn't just sent across the border on a truck from suppliers and dumped at a store. It goes through international shipping procedures because of it's nature.

Even if you get passed all of that................the powder in ammo is measured in grains, because the area is so small. Think about just how many of these dummy rounds you'd have to make just to get a half pound across.
