| In a few days i will be leaving for a family reunion in sascatcheewan (mm, murdered the spelling of that...). I'll be meeting a lot of new people, and the great herb helps me be social and not feel apprehensive. Anyways, i'll be crossing the border into Canada from Maine. I'll only take about half an ounce. What sort of search should i expect? I'm either going to a)bag the pot, wash my hands, rebag it and put it in a candle, or b) buy some CS gas from soldier-of-fortune magazine, and put that in an outer bag layer, and put that in a candle. or, c) put the whole affair into an oil container which I'll stick up in the A/C bubble of the camper we're taking. Suggestions? If we were searched, not only would we be in legal trouble, my mother, who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder would go nuts. Thanks, KEEN | |

| *sobs* i thought the US/canada border was nearly open...this is going to be a rather boring trip - 10 days in RV with nothing to do but come up with inventions and talk to my mother and step dad...do they search the vehicle or something at the border? what makes it so dangerous? KEEN | |

| If you going with your mother, in her R/V. Maybe..... but I would think realy hard about it and be very very very very caerful how you package it. Extream and irational paranoia is sometimes justified. If your going alone, no, don't do it. A close friend of mine had a pack of zig zags in his pocket and that was enough for a full strip down and dog sniff of his car. This was at the Jackman Maine Crossing also. Not excatly the epicenter of the Northeast Drug Trade. As for an open border, yes the US Canada is fairly open. You could walk pounds of pot across the Frontier Wilderness with little worry...other then dieing in the largest unbroken forest east of the Mississippi...driving throught the check point is another story. While I doubt that your mother's R/V will be searched, it might. They might have a dog there and they might walk it around the R/V. And if they do, and if the dog catches a whiff of your stash, you and your mother will be big in trouble. I've been to Canada a few times, through Maine border crossings. I've never been searched, but the last time a Dog was led around my truck. |

| Jr. Member | Just try to score while you are here. Saskatchewan may not have hills, or running water, or anything fun (I kid cuz I love), but they must have marijuana. ~BD

| I think you're right about the CS gas and transporting the pot accross the border...it's just not worth it (i'll watch some movies instead on the way ) I do have an idea for others who smuggle on a larger scale. Why not pack drugs in bullets? drug/bomb sniffing dogs would allert on the crate, and the bullets could be inspected (top row would be real bullets) but the bottom ones could be filled with lots of drugs... I'm interested in getting a lot of marijuana into the US, because as the supply rises, price declines and as price goes down supply increases...and the more people who smoke the precious herb, the better the chances of our efforts to legalize succeeding. (i wouldn't personally smuggle pot though - jail would make me go nuts - i'm a chaotic person and no freedom would leave me with no sanity.) KEEN | |
