Hello all,

I am certian that this topic has been discussed but I am new here and couldn't find anything on it. I am heading to Jamaica in about 3 weeks for a 7 day vacation. All my life I have heard of the smoke from there so I am going to look some up once I arrive. I don't think I will have any problems finding it, what I want to know is - how is the best way to get some back to the states? I am considering mailing it to myself. At my house I am consistantly getting mail from the previous owner so I will address it to her, add a bogus return address (probably one from the mail I receive for the former homeowner). If it makes it to the house I wouldn't open it for a day or two, that way if Johnny Law shows up asking about it I will ask if they want the rest of her mail too (I will have a pile of it). Do they search every package coming from places like Jamaica? Or is ingesting it the best way. I haven't ever done that and I don't particulary look forward to that.

If anyone has done this before I would sure like appreciate any insight.

however i can say, dont buy from the first person that offers because they will give you a bullshit tourist price. where if you just ask around you can find lbs of bud for cheaaaaap cheeeeeaaaap like 100 dollars cheap

Do yourself a favor and leave the weed in Jamaica. Smuggling across international borders is foolish unless there's a whole lot of money to be made. Risking the consequences for a bit of personal stash just doesn't make sense.

i have been to many islands in the Caribbean and
i have seen dogs roaming the airports on more then one occasion.
i don't think it would be a nice place to sit in jail for a while.
once when i was in st croix i scored a huge bag at a killer price
so big that
i smoked 24 fat assed joints the day i was leaving there
to make it all dissappear before i left. lol

I've been all over the caribbean (Cayman, Jamaica, and most of the leeward islands) and I only see dogs at big airport. Most of the regional airports don't ahve anything. Hardly do shit.

i was in aruba and you had to go thru a hallway to get to the gate
and in the middle of the narrow halway was a chair with a guy sitting there with a dog,everybody that got on a plane had to go past him.i have also seen dogs in st thomas,puerto rico and the dominican repub.off the top of
my head,its just not worth taking the chance..

marijauna isn't that great in Jamaica. (I've lived there, and in nearby islands,)

The weed is ubber cheap (often bought reg nuggs (3-4grams) for 5 bucks) but it actually ain't that good of shit.

I'd rather go back to my hometown of Vancouver, meet my old friend who sells me 1/2 ounces of dank shit for $65 - 80 Canadian and it will keep me nicely high for ages.

When I was in Jamaica many years ago I was searched on the beach for weed. One person can sell it to you and than turned you in for a reward. It's all about money!

My suggestion? Don't! Enjoy it while you're on vacation, and let it go at that. Its not worth the trouble to attempt to send it from jamaica (a well known drug source area, meaning such a package would likely face additonal scrutiny than if it were from another country). Customs/Postal officals know what destinations are propular for drug users/smuigglers, and play their games accordingly. I've been to Jamaica, and plan to return, but bringing any back was/will be the last thing on my mind. I've heard stories of what Jamaica's prison system is like, and quite frankly, I'd be scared shitless to serve a setence there. Its violent, AIDS is rampant, and unless you have connections, basics such as food may even be hard to get. Believe me, third world prison isn't somewhere you want to end up!!

Ok, I can see the consensus is not to ry and bring it back. I will go ahead and try mailing some back to myself and see how that works out. I figure an oz or less the authorities have bigger fish to fry and won't make life too difficult for me. As long as I take precautions when mailing, like addressed to a different name.
