Hi, my friend sent me a gram in an envelope addressed to "residents". He didn't put a return address. I know it wasn't a great way to send it, I would've done it differently. But he just sent me a taste of some of his stuff for fun. However, I am freaking out. I thought he would've been more careful, and not made it look so suspicious. Do you guys know if we could get in major trouble for such a small amount? Niether of our names are on it, but my address is. I live in an apt so I could always say it wasn't for me. I live in Cali and this was coming from Fla. Any thoughts????

I have read tons of forums, and read millions of different answers and scenarios, but none from someone that actually got caught.

You live in Cali and you're getting stuff in the mail? Don't do that.

How long ago was it sent?

Since it's addressed to residents, and no return address, once you get it just don't open it for a while. If they come to your door(which is highly unlikely for such an amount) deny you ever knew what it was and never opened it. If it wasnt addressed to you and you don't open it, they don't have anything.

That's a dumb way of shipping. It might get nabbed but chances are if it does nothing will happen to either of you, the amount just confiscated.

If you've already took the package in and opened it there's probably nothing to worry about. Otherwise, the feds would have probably tackled you by now.

I know it was really dumb! I thought he'd be smarter in the method, like not making the envelope look so suspicious....Well, it was supposed to be here 2 days ago and it never came so I'm freaking. Never again!!!!
In the Bay area where I used to live, it was easy as pie to find MJ..not so easy here, in central cali where I live now. I also work from home so I haven't really gotten a chance to meet people who can help me out. I can only find swaag..gross...Oh yeah, I have a rug rat which also makes it hard to just saunter up to strangers and 'fish' for MJ. I'm dying here!! Swaag gives me a headache...

I'll never ever do it again. It was supposed to just be a little taste...I doubt even if they find it they'd go to crazy b/c it was so small.

Don't worry too much...I sent some hash to a friend once and was freaking out because it was a little late, but everything was good. It's the memorial day weekend, remember...that's probably why it's late.

lol, I keep going back and forth between fantasies of A) receiving it and enjoying it and B) being carted off to jail while my neighbors family gasp in disbelief...

information for a warrant must be within the last 72 hours, as i recall. so if they dont come crashing in within 72 hours you got away with it. not opening it right away is smart. addressed to resident is suspicious but gives your plausible deniability. a gram of weed is not worth all the time and effort it takes to get a warrant. it probably will be seized and placed into evidence and destroyed.

If it had been a lot of weed they would have waited for it to be delivered and then they would have arrested you then. It sometimes happens to innocent people. Just look at what happened to Mayor Cheye Calvo of Maryland.

I once heard of someone ordering seeds from another country. US customs found out what it was and confiscated it. They allowed the box to be sent but they put a nice letter letting the individual know that his package had been searched and its contents confiscated. Customs told him that he could show up at an office to claim the items if he wished.
