basically heres what happened. theres a lot to type so im sayin the main points. narcotics showed up at my house saying that they had gotten many calls that people have seen marijuana plants and drugs being transported in and out of my house (they thought i was growing weed). my mom and i didnt know wtf was going on since we got cought off guard. we tried to call a lawyer first but he didnt answer. we eventually gave them permission to come in and look around after they told us that if in fact they found anything, no one would be in any trouble and they would just take it and maybe just send me a ticket (they also said if we didnt give them permission they would go get a warrant). so we let them come in and look around and once we got to my room the officer asked me to open some drawers for her (i believe she asked me because she was not aloud to open anything herself with me opening it first) so i opened 3 drawers and in the 3rd one she found 2 pipes. after that drawer she started going through everything in my room herself. still telling my mom and i that no one was going to jail. then she finds a half 8th of weed in my closet along with a bong. and at the same time the other officer was snooping around downstairs and in my basement all by himself. so after she starts saying im going to jail i had told my mom that we should just stop talking right now and wait to talk to our lawyer. the officer apparently didnt like that too much because once my mom walked out of the room she had said to me "everything was going good untill you decided to get smart and tell your mom to talk to a lawyer". i personally think that is some bullshit right there. a few minutes after the officer found the weed she tells me and my mom that im going to have to go to jail. so ofcourse we were saying how could that be when you told us that if we gave you permission to come in you would not arrest anyone and that you would just take what you found and leave. the officer would not give me an answer. so long story short i was taken to county jail and now i have a court date later this month. does anyone else think that this was unbelieveably rediculous and that the narcotics should not have came to my house over a half 8th and a pipe? think ill get charged in the end? it seems like they did a lot of little things that they should not have done. also even though we gave permission to come in, i have read that even if they find stuff in your house it can not be used in court if they use trickery or coircion to get in the house in the first place. what do you think?
