I live in the state of Virginia and today me and a couple friends were driving to the store for a blunt. And all of a sudden a cop stops us at the parking lot and searches us for no reason (he said suspicious characters). And I had a quarter on me, so they took me to the police station interrogated me and called my parents. Now I have a court date and shit. And my parents just found out i smoked too from a cop.... I made my mom cry. I feel like shit.

Yea I remember when my mom first found out, she cried. Bad feeling. But atleast for me it wasn't from a cop.
Damn that's dumb dude. If they didn't have any real reason to search you, you definitely shouldn't have let the pig.

I really did'nt have a choice he told me to get out of the car and started searching me without asking or anything. And when he put me in his car he was like " You know your a minor therefore you have no rights" is that true?

My mom is conservative "all drugs are bad". If I try explaining weed is'nt all that bad she'd feel that I'm justifying Satan himself...

I love the stoner lifestyle as much as anyone, but I'm so upset over all the bullshit thats happened just for smoking a plant. Well thanks for the advice guys it does help me feel better that I have so many people on my side.

the cop said your a minor and you have no rights, and then he searched your car without your permission??? Speak to a lawyer, your case might be thrown out because the search may have been an illegal search...

Tell your mom that although you're not gonna sit there and try to preach to her, that she shouldn't worry, you won't do *real* drugs, and that you know what you gotta do to make her proud, and you will....

Your mom is just worried about you...Take care of your responsibilities, keep weed lower than homework and job on your priorities list, and she'll get over it in time, and you'll be number one son once again

show your mom the upside about marijuana and how it's not even that bad.. sounds like she's kind of conservative? as far as your case goes man believe me its 100x better you got caught as a minor, enjoy your youth and live it up, your world doesn't stop over a little petty possession charge!

If worst comes to worst maybe even let your mom talk to some people on this site that do, primarily the moms . Believe it or not that happened to me, and although she was already slightly OK with it, talking to people on this site convinced her. Score 1 for MJ.com!

If not:
Here in this lovely state (VA) we've managed to get decriminalization to an extent. Its near mandatory to give a first time marijuana offender probation (bullshit class), and after you complete the shit you are given a clean record.


Your mother will get over it. Do good in school and hide the habbit (or drop it) and everything will be A-OK. It's not like she found out you did meth, coke, or heroin (not that they are exponentially worse, but the reaction given to them is).
