FML2009

So, yesterday while going through airport security, they found an empty pipe in my purse that I had completely forgotten was there. I am already hiring an attorney to help me in court, so I don't need any legal advice. I was just wondering if anyone else (preferably those from Utah since the laws here are much worse then most other states) had dealt with paraphernalia charges and what happened. I'm 20 and this is my first offense, aside from an MIP (alcohol) I got when I was 18 (they hand those out like water in college so I can't imagine that's going to hurt me too much, and I dealt with it and closed the case within about 4 weeks).

My goal is to do a plea and abayence not pay a huge fine and do community service instead and be on probation for 6 or 12 months and ultimately get it off my record entirely. I figure with a lawyer this is more likely to happen.

I'm terrified to say the least. Please give me some hope..
