Don't know about the countries, but I do know that you can bring a clean bowl back.

You can smoke in pretty much any of them and you wont go to prison although its still illegal.

Actually, there aren't any countries in the world in which marijuana is legal, there are some in which it is decriminalized, however. That basically means you can grow it and smoke it in private or in designated areas (hash bars), but you can't do whatever you want with it. I know it is in the Netherlands, everyone knows that, and I'm pretty sure it is in Belgium, too. Last I heard, they had passed decrim in Switzerland, but I have no idea if it's taken effect yet.

the whole thing in Switzerland is starting right now..

however in Germany and Austria (where I live) you have to be careful, it's far from being decriminalized here though the cops dont have the right to search you on the street, only if they see you smoking. If they search you and you got more than 1 g with you and you got bad luck they'll take you to the police station but I think they're not too harsh with tourists, y'know..

oh and if you take a bowl with you make sure not to have any grass witcha cause they gonna search you.

littlewu869, if you should drop by here in vienna, pot is pretty expensive here (8-10 USD/g) and good stuff isnt easy to get on the street, but you can contact me and I'll do whatever I can to get you some ish..

Holland:
Its the only country in In Europe where its 100% legal. But you have to smoke in coffeebars/hash bars or at home. You can not smoke in public places like restaurants. But they wount do anything if your smoking on the street, just dont dont provoke (sp)

Belgium:
Belgium is starting to get legal. They just have a new law: You can not be busted for smoking or pocessing marijuana, only if its a certain amount (dealer amount).
They might follow Hollands example if they find the results of their new law satisfactory. and they dont have the right to search you.

Luxembourg:
Its directly connected to Belgium
at the moment laws are the same there
if its goin to get legal in Belgium Luxembourg will follow short after.

Switzerland:
They are preparing to legalize it.
There is a widespread support for decriminalizing marijuana.

Germany/Italy/Austria/France:
Its illegal to smoke!
But you wouldnt get into much trouble by only smoking a joint.

you can smoke it freely whithout gettin into problems

they tolerate the coffee shops, where marijuana and cannabis are sold openly
and they tolerate the growing of home-grown cannabis.
