| If you get caught with cannabutter brownies or cookies (let's just say made with a 1/4) how do they determine how much they charge you with? I would hope they wouldn't take the weight of the food or some BS like that. If you want to drive with a small amount is a hidden cig cellaphane or a batch of brownies (with other food) a safer bet? I'm assuming a dog can smell cannabutter food... |

You are kidding right? I know Texas is extra harsh but that just defies all logic and reasoning. You would think some kind of excessive punishment laws would go into effect, like if you had a 1/4 but it was baked into 2 or 3 lbs of brownies they are gonna charge you with 2 or 3 lbs of contraband (which is probably a life-sentence in Texas)...how can that even be possible? They may as well take the weight of the container and hell even the car into consideration too by that logic. Last edited by Furburger : 07-01-2009 at 04:51 AM. | |

| I don't know if it's still true, but it used to be when they'd bust a grower they'd pull up the plants and weigh them, dirt, roots, stems, leaves, buds, and 75% water. That's the weight they'd charge you with, not the weight of the dried and cured buds. You could have ten pounds of plants that would have produced five or six ounces of finished bud and you'd get charged for the ten pounds.

| Okay, I'm convinced it's not worth the risk to carry around food. It would be nice if these pigs would ammend some of this prohibition bullshit so it was within reason, but I guess that would require some intelligence. |

| the "pigs" as you call them, don't make the laws, and they can't amend them, their job is only to enforce them. How red-ass they are in enforcing the law may be somewhat up to them I suppose, but really, if you're interested in having the laws amended or repealed, then a big part of that is up to you, not them. Hang out here a lot, and get involved. Join norml, be sure to keep bugging your congressmen about it. Really, just take every opportunity you can to work towards decriminalization/legalization. That's the answer really... ![]() |

| Under Bill Clinton more people were busted for possession of cannabis then under any President before him and good old Bill didn't lift a finger to stop it. Probably inserted that finger in a lot of places but he certainly didn't use it to hold a pen to stop the madness. |

| is the possession of cannabaniods illegal or is the actual plant material illegal? What specific part of the plant is illegal to own, or is it all of it? Questions like this you could raise to get yourself out of a possession if you had enough bank roll. |
