HI!
I am currently facing felony possession of marijuana in Indiana. I had a conviction 6years ago for misdameanor poss., so the 1 JOINT and 1 roach I allegedly had in my home, are now a Felony.

No wait, it gets much better...

I let the Dubois Co.,Ind Sheriff Dept search my house consentually for a video survelliance camera, and/or signs of cultivation. This came about when police came to my house about their camera ,and a pot patch(60 plants) located in a cornfield behind 2 houses, mine was one. They weren't my plants, didn't have camera or anything, so why not! Oh sure I toyed with lead officer before consent, but i was clean.. They searched found nothing ...see ya! NOT!
They returned 5 days later with a warrant based on an informants false statements, at which time 1 joint was recovered. My trial is July 12th. If I lose I do 9mos. in jail.

In regard to original post.

I have the best lawyer money can buy in small town Indiana. This has cost me over $4,000 to date. And I'm still facing a felony for a joint.

My post was not written for sympathy, only to motivate people that haven't had somehting like this happen to them, to do something before it does. But thanks for the support anyway!

"God, i can't ****ing stand the US Government."

What did they have to do with it? He was charged by a county sheriff's dept. with a violation of state law.

Marijuana prohibition started with a Federal tax program that was really just a ploy to catch people with Marijuana. This act set the stage for the War on Drugs and how it would operate.

Using that reasoning, I'll tell people to complain to the White House next time they get a speeding ticket.

Huh? He didnt say he had been caught with anything. He just said he hated the US government. Why? I assume because of Marijuana prohibition. I really dont see why he was wrong, or even annoying, for showing his anger towards a government that has prohibited a pretty harmless substance that he likes to use. Not only has this government outlawed its use, but this government has committed itself to harsher and harsher sentences for a victimless crime. An act where the worst thing that is likely to happen after indulging, is feeling happy, light headed, and hungry. No one dies or even goes into seizures, just some coughing and then couch potato mode. For committing this act, which is apparently horrendous in the eyes of our government, you can actually be put behind bars. Locked up for sitting on the couch with a bag of potato chips, a remote control, and a bowl of a plant called Marijuana. Just ludicrous.

So Dyekocker, I second the sentiment!
