So here is what happened to me last night. I went to my buddies house to blaze all night, and he lives about a block or two away from me. So last night no one was at my house, and my sister called me at 3am saying she was going to my house. Well about 15 minutes later she called me back saying this kid bought some weed off her, and he smoked it and got to high, and called the cops saying his heart was beating to fast or some shit. Well me and my buddies were wasted and burnt out, but i saw 2 cop cars drive to my house and an ambulace. Anyhow the cops said they had a key for my house, and they went in it without any permission, they found my little sister hiding upstairs. Now they are saying they might have to come back. But i want to know if the cops were able to come in my house legally, no one let them in.

Hmmm..this sounds crazy ha. The cops and an ambulance went to your house, and they had a key to get in, found your little sister, then left but they might come back?? Was your little sister stoned as well? Maybe she was freaking out too and called the cops to your house, ha...dunno but I'm still wondering how the cops got a house key..

If someone called for paramedics I'm pretty sure they have the right to come into your house as someone might be in danger. However, I'm pretty sure that while in your house they can't search for anything or use anything in the house as probable cause for a warrant. They could try and get a warrant, but you should be safe. Just ask a buddy that you trust to hold on to all your weed related items for a week if you want to be safe.

Well heres some more detail- the kid that called the cops got thrown outside, and my sister told the cops he showed up at my house in his moms stolen car(it was) and he had weed and smoked some, then started freaking out. But this isn't that big of a deal, i just dont want any pigs in my house, and stupid kids calling cops because they can't handle weed.

If there is a medical emergency, the police can enter your house without a warrant under the "community caretaking" exception to the search warrant requirement. Once they are inside, any items that are in plain view can be seized and are admissible. However, they cannot go searching through drawers or areas not in plain view for contraband unless they get a search warrant or the owner's consent.

Ok just to clear things up- They did come in, but thats it, they only came in my house because the kid was outside, and he was trippin. They were just making sure no one else was like that. And the kid called from inside my house, but got thrown out after he called them. thanks for the help guys im clear now. Wasn't even my problem but whatever haha.
