Hi guys. Never posted here before but I could really, really use some information. I have no idea what to do!!

My boyfriend has been arrested on drug charges in the past-- I am not sure what they were but I know it's around 2 arrests for possession and one for growing... he has told me before that if he got caught growing again he would go to jail for 'a long, long time.'

He recently got in a traffic accident and needed the police report; due to an unpaid insurance violation ticket he was afraid of having a warrant out, so I went to try and get the report for him. They wouldn't release it for me because he did, indeed, have a warrant out.

I walked out of the copshop and he was waiting for me outside. We started to walk away together and the cop ran out after us, and arrested both of us (him on the warrant and me on obstruction). On the way in he dropped some weed that was in his pocket, which the cop found.

I've been released and have a court date but I have no idea what is going to happen to him. Can anyone help? This sounds dumb but I've never even known someone who was arrested. Do I wait for him to call me? Do I try to track him down? How long might he be in for? What can I do?

Please please help with any info you can asap... thanks!!!!

Call the county jail, find out how much bail is. If it's more than you can pay, call a bail bondsman. You have to pay them 10% of the bail, which you won't get back, but they'll bail him out.

After that...uh...we'd need to know what he's being charged with, what state this is in, and what his past record looks like to give you any more advice.

You mentioned in your post that your boyfriend was arrested on two other occasions for cultivating/ possession of marijuana, that’s not good. I am not sure what state you live in however many states consider cultivating and or possessing marijuana to be a felony and back up the law with stiff jail sentences. If your boyfriend is convicted for a third strike, your boyfriend could be looking at 20 years to life in prison.
My advice to you is not to talk about the incident over the internet. (This place is swarmed with Cops, DA’s, etc. You could accidentally mention incriminating evidence that could be used against him and yourself in a court of law. furthermore if cops DAs etc come knocking at your door asking you any questions, take the 5th and tell them nothing unless you have an attorney present. In addition, make sure that your phone is enabled to accept collect calls because that is the only way he will be able to call you, also collect calls get expensive and if he is calling 24/7 your phone bill will be in the thousand dolor range. In addition, if you can’t pay the phone company will cut off your phone until you can pay them.

Damn man really sucks for yall. If his previouse convictions were felony charges, he could go away for life. I think you would be able to get off the chain alot easyer for obs. of justice. Get a good lawyer. Try to bust him out ?? Sorry i cant really help that much. also it would be nice for where you live, if he is underage (dosn't sound like it but hey), Good luck in the months to come
