Alright well here's my situation... I'm 17 and was cought walking down a street after city curfew in california, got searched..they found a glass pipe, lighter and about a gram of weed on me... and now i have a meeting with a probation officer soon. As far as I know, I'm facing 4 charges.. which I'm assuming are Possesion, Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication & Curfew... I'm real curious what I should expect to happen when I meet with the probation officer.

Sorry unknown, between clueless posters and spam the pyr forum has been going downhill recently. I'll try and help you out.

First, did you plead guilty? Did you see a judge yet? Probation comes after you go to court, not before. I'm going to assume you already went to court or pled guilty, because otherwise your post makes no sense.

What you can expect from the probation officer is he will lay down the terms of your probation, get some basic information from you, and maybe talk to you a little. Say whatever he wants you to and be polite, as he can make your life hell if he wants (although if you're a good kid who just got in a little trouble, he'll be understanding-POs deal with some real jackasses, so it doesn't take much to get on their good side). The terms of your probation won't include anything too suprising-regular meetings, drug testing, curfew, don't break the law, etc. Maybe community service, and possibly rehab/NA. If you can't pass a drug test, don't worry. Just say the use occurred before you were placed on probation.
