i did a search in this forum about mj seeds and i found this post (http://www.Marijuana.com/420/showthread.php?t=15008 ) which is that exact question i was asking myself but no one seems to have answered the question with a definate yes or no.

I don't think it's illegal to be in possession of seeds. I would think if it was illegal to be in possession of them, it would also be illegal to sell them and I would also think Marc Emery would have gone to jail for that instead. Marc has a thriving seed business, there are lots of them in Canada, so I don't think it's illegal, but I haven't seen proof anywhere. If I do come across something, I will post here.

Thc is illegal and seeds have thc in them, so I'm just abou sure its illegal. I remember hearing something about its ok if the seeds aren't germinated though?

The reason you are getting so many WAG's is because marijuana seeds seem to fall into a gray area with Canadian law:

So we still don't know for sure if it's illegal to be in possession of seeds, but it sure sounds like it is legal. If selling seeds falls into a gray area, possession probably isn't even a factor. If they contain so little THC, they should be no different than hemp seeds, which are quite legal - I have some in my fridge - got them at the health food store.

Yeah, it makes sense. The problem being that I live in the USA and my personal experience with the drug laws is sense isn't a component. Perhaps my Canadian brothers do better.

I can think of three stores in this area alone that sell cannabis seeds and I'm sure there are more. 2 of those stores sell other seeds and plants and one is just for marijuana seeds and growing marijuana. I'd have to assume possession and selling of cannabis seeds is legal around here.

what part of ontario? i live in the toronto area, any of them stores near me?

There are plenty of places in downtown Toronto. Just walking Yonge St around College St I saw a couple.

There's also a nice shop in Kensington Plaza that caters to growers.
