| I am pretty sure what they are doing is illegal, but heres the thing I was wisked into the principles office and was told that I was stoned (I kept staying nuetral and said like "I do not wish to comment" Anyways i think its illegal what they are doing for 3 reasons 1. In the schools handbook it says "Any student ammiting or found by credible witness to posses or be under the infulence of...." A. I did not ammit B. They had no witness, just 2 teachers who said they thought i was in their opinon 2. Lack of evidence: I was thoughly searched and they found NOTHING! 3. It says in the manual has to be within 300 feet of the school, and so they dont know where I did it (if i did it at all), so that could throw it out right there. Bassicly what they are saying is if 2 or more people say someone is stoned then they are...... Please help, with any links or advice |

| What exactly did they do? Are you being charged with something? Were you just accused of being high? Your handbook says: Any student admitting to or found by a credible witness (e.g. any school personnel, law enforcement agent, parent/guardian of the student in violation, etc.) to be using, under the influence of, or possessing any alcohol or illicit drugs on school property or at school sponsored events will be subject to all of the following penalties. Then, in another sentence it talks about off campus drug activity. If reported by a credible witness, penalties for students using, under the influence of, or possessing alcohol or illicit drugs off of school property (and not in MSHSL) include an additional offense status and all of the penalties listed below except # 1 under each offense. (The handbook had certain sections in bold.) Typically schools give out the handbook at the beginning of the year and have the parents and student sign something and return it that says they have read and understand the rules. You do the crime, you do the time, unfortunately. I think that the Law Enforcement Officer we have here (Niteshift) would probably tell you that he could spot someone stoned without too much trouble. peace |
