| Cannabis may help prevent Alzheimer's memory loss. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/st...423977,00.html Although this study was not done in the U.S. (just because there is no research currently being done in the U.S. that looks at the benefits of cannabis), I believe that the study should be studied here in the U.S. to look at the allegations. There has been a lot of research in the area of medical cannabis. I feel that the DEA’s statement that: "The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States." is a direct lie to the American public. I feel that American people should be able to sue the DEA for lying to the public and causing public harm with their headstrong policies. To me, when a government lies to the people, trust is betrayed. And with some of the other lies, its no wonder that kids think that heroin, LSD and huffin' spray paint is just like smokin' pot. I believe there is a clause in the The Controlled Substances Act (CSA) that says that if a substance has been shown to not meet the requirements of the schedule then the substance could be transferred to another schedule or even removed. Can we petition the Attorney General to reschedule cannabis? The Controlled Substances Act (CSA) http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/agency/csa.htm
