Ok, here's my story. My girlfriend and I just finished watching Kingdom of Heaven at the mall theatre. Our friend T works over at the Foleys nearby. T takes a small break off work and we all go to his car and spark a bowl. T's car is on the top level of a 2 story parking garage. As we begin to blaze, a purple/fuschia looking lumina or crown vic enters our level and circles around the parking lot. Trying to be prudent, T starts his car and proceeds to exit the parking area. Upon exiting, the noted car is seen following us. T continues to drive around the mall parking lot for a couple more minutes with the car behind us. The car is still following us the whole while. While T drives around some more, he gets the bright idea to pull into another parking garage. Upon entering the garage, a genuine police car appears behind us with lights blaring. I remember there being at least one other police car, too. The undercover car was no where to be seen. At this point in time I have the pipe and a small amount of bud, less than 1 gram, in a small pocket in the front of my cargo shorts. The prudent thing to do at the time would have been to break the pipe on the ground immediately and eat the bud in the same fashion. Instead I did nothing. Shortly after entering the new garage, T parks and an officer goes to his window. another officer comes to my window, i am in the passenger seat. The first thing said to me was "get out and put your hands on the back of the car." I do that. The officer asks me if i have anything on me, I say no i don't, and he grabs me up and down looking for something on my body. He eventually finds the pipe and small amount of bud folded up in paper. The police search my girlfriend's purse and T's car up and down looking for more stuff. There is nothing more. I am arrested and they are let go after some time. I am taken to a little police substation in the mall where apparently they were setup to bust the hell out of any illegal activity at all in the mall. While in this substation, I ask why we were pulled over in the first place. They tell me that T's headlights were off when entering the parking garage, at least I think that's when they said, but I do know for sure that they told me T was pulled over for having his headlights off at some point in time. Which I don't understand, seeing as T's car has automatic headlights. Now I'm confused. This is my second possesion, the first one I took care of with a year of differed ajudication (probation). The 1st time my parents got a lawyer for me with their hard earned money. Now I'm a college student and I'd rather my parents not find out about this second possesion. Should I seek a lawyer? Can I easily obtain a police report? More importantly, is there a chance I can have my case dismissed? Any help is appreciated.
