| the drug policy alliance actually alerted me to this, so any of you that are already part of that will probably have already seen this. anyways, Congressman Sensenbrenner is trying to pass a law entitled "Defending America's Most Vulnerable: Safe Access to Drug Treatment and Child Protection Act of 2005". two ridiculous points of this law that stick out: They want a mandatory 2-year prison term for anyone who knows someone is selling marijuana on a college campus and fails to report it to the police within 24 hours. They want a mandatory 5-year prison term for someone at a party who passes a marijuana joint to someone who has been enrolled in drug treatment at some point in their life. they tried to pass this last year, without success (someone on capitol hill seems to still be thinking logically), so they are trying again this year. i encourage everyone to urge their representatives to stop this bs. you can do this really easily by going to the drug policy alliance website.
