I am new to the website but you all seem to have good knoweledge on the laws so I have a question..last nite I got an underage consumption, I blew a .034, and the cop also found my bowl. What kind of fines and other things am I going to get when I go to court..I live in Ohio if that makes any difference, thanks

Just thought I'd give an upadate:

Well, I went to court on 7/25 only to have it pushed back yet again. It was mainly because that the porsecutor my lawyer knows was not there and the fact that the UA I took the night I was arrested (5/28) STILL has not came back yet.

My lawyer said that becasue the UA is taking so long, he's gonna ***** at the prosecutor about it and possibly throw it out. In that case, he could possibly get ALL the charges thrown and in return I'd have to go thru some kind of assessment program.

My father made it clear to my lawyer that this CANNOT make the newspapers cuz he/we don't want people seeing our last name.

Now I have a question- what is an assessment program? What can they do?

BTW- I actually have started toking a little but now and then. It's been too long.

Sounds like some drug classes to me basically a slap on the hand

You should do a little research: if your urine has been sitting on a shelf the whole time without being tested, you might be able to find something from a reputable source that says its bad to test old urine. I dunno...its a long shot, but if it were me, I would do everything in my power to get it thrown out.

WELL-

I got the OVI/DUI charge dropped and plead guilty to the drug and paraph. charge.

Here it is: 6 months suspended licence w/ priveleges (school, work, personal maint.), 6 months probation and a $580 fine.

IMO this sucks. That fine hurt. I never had to submit a drug test that whole time, though. When I went to the prob. officer after court, she said that I will most likely be drug tested next time I come in, which is 9/21/05- So I have like another 2 weeks to smoke before I stop for a month.

Hope this helps anyone..? If any of you have a questions just give it a go.
