| I read about this in the main "mailing marijuana" thread but my question is somewhat more specific...if creating a new thread was not the correct course of discusion induction then I am sorry for the inconvienence of a merger. ![]() Here is the situation: Sometime during my freind's visit to amsterdam, his desire to perpetuate the enjoyment of the abundance of high quality bud grew beyond his trip's allowance. He decided that the only solution would be to mail a moderate sampling of the fruits of decriminalization back to himself in the US. His method of concealment was thus; After hollowing out a large candle and stuffing within the wax shell a little under an ounce of packaged buds, he proceeded to boil the leftover shavings and pour them over the opening in the candle. The product was a completely inconspicuous piece of cultural currency. (an innocent enough looking, scented, dutch candle) He placed this in a package with an assortment of other dutch products (stroop waffeln, chocolates etc...things which might come in handy upon the package's arrival )The only concern with this process however is that if the package is x-rayed, a customs official might be rewarded with a clear image of a long cylindrical object stuffed full of another substance of an obviously differing density. Perhaps someone with actual experience in package screening can comment, but i can't seem to shake an image of concerned postal employees smashing the candle with the intention of thwarting an amateurish bombing plot, but instead finding the hidden pot. If this were to occur though, would the entirety of the shipment be seized? Or would the broken candle, including the weed, be put back into the box with the food and sent on its way? I presume that if this course of action were taken there would most likely be harsh repercusions for the person who signs for the package on the receiving end. Some other details about the operation include: and this was a sketch decision on my freind's part, but he neglected to include a return address on the package, and he sent it through the standard dutch post, just dropped it off at the post office before he left. Thank you in advance for all input. peace |
