Im at a church picnic with my grandparents, its a fair that I've attended for years since I was a kid. All my neighborhood friends I grew up with usually go. I had something I wanted to show all my old friends, many of them had seen my cannabis postcards already, I had a new product I wanted to show them. Im starting an organic cosmetic business, and I was showing off my purfume and cologne made by islanders.

I was minding my own business when a man walks up to me and asks me for my ID. I was thinking, why is he asking for my ID? He doesn't have a nametag so he doesnt work at the booth, wait a second I dont have any beer in my hand. I said, "What?" He said, "Im a Police Officer, let me see your ID." I said, "ok so what is this about" He wouldn't say. It seemed kind of fishy so I asked to see his badge. He couldn't provide a badge, he said
"You can ask anyone here, Im a cop." I said, "Ok well I'll show you my ID if you show me yours" He told me his friends would vouch for him, so I walked with him to his two witnesses. they were not wearing nametags
so i was still suspicious. I showed him my ID, then he went for my backpack. I Told him I DO NOT CONSENT TO A SEARCH. He then told me that he was going to confiscate the bag as evidence, and I was going to jail. I asked him AGAIN "whats this about." He told me there had been complaints that i was selling stuff to people. I hadn't sold anything since I was there, I
was only showing off my products to my friends. He then grabbed me and started dragging me off somewhere. I had not seen a badge nor had he made a phonecall to the police, my instincts told me something was wrong.
I looked around for witnesses, people I know that would stick around untill a uniform officer arrived.
This guy could be tring to kidnap me. I started
yelling for someone to call the police, I don't know
this guy. He then hit me in my right ear. So I
struggled and grabbed onto pressure points in his
wrist to loosen his grip.
He sat me down on a bench and called the police. I sat there tring to explain that I wasn't selling anything. He said, "You had been asked to leave by several people" This was untrue no one had told me to leave.

A couple of the fair volenteers had asked me if I was selling anything, I told them "NO" he said "Good keep it that way" Then later on I was conversating with someone I had just met, and as I showed him my products someone passed by and said "you cant sell that here." I told her "Im not, Im only showing him"
The only person who told me to leave was a group of girls between the ages of 12-14. I was standing inside the church entry way to get out of the rain. I was talking to people who were also waiting out the rain. These girls were staring at me, I caught their gaze and smiled. They said, "Why are you still here?" I said, "Its raining." Then I turned around and watched the storm pass. Throughout the storm i kept bumping into them and they would tell me to go home> i ignored them i wasnt about to walk home in the rain because a couple little girls told me to>

anyhow i was charged with
resisting arrest
peddling without a license
tresspassing on private property
disturbing the peace

Uh, the cop should have identified himself, but you showed a serious lack of common sense. First off, if you're walking around showing people products you want to sell, people will think you're trying to sell the products. Duh. Second off, it sounds like it was made clear to you that you were not welcome, yet you stayed. Third, when the guy started saying he was a cop, you should have co-operated and determined if he was telling the truth -- actually, when he made it clear he wanted you gone, you should have just left. You were not welcome and even from reading what you wrote it's very clear you were not welcome.

Resisting Arrest, Peddling without a License, Tresspassing on Private Property and Disturbing the Peace, right? But your experience has nothing to do with MJ, so explain to me how this relates to Cannabis and the Law?

Even though this has nothing to do with cannabis and the law, I think you could have handled it a bit better. True, how many people would walk up to you and say that sort of thing, unless they really were cops? On the other hand, The guy could have been a kidnapper (or an adultnapper, what the hell ever) and by hitting you in the ear, that would have set me off to something wrong too. Still, you handled it good, and bad at the same time... This making any sense to any of you? No? Good....
