I was recently arrested for possession of less than 3 grams of marijuana in the Republic of Latvia which I had brought with me from Copenhagen,Denmark. I left the country before the case was resolved and returned to the United States. Since returning to the US a judge in Latvia has contacted me and threatened to send "letters" to the authorities in the U.S. and my employer unless I travel back to Latvia to face justice in his court where he has told me to expect a fine of between $3000-4000 USD. However, he also made it clear to me that the offenses of possession and bringing such a small personal amount into the country can carry 3-7 years in prison! I was wondering if anyone reading has experienced a similar situation abroad and what consequences (if any) one can expect here in the United States. What U.S. law enforcement authorites are likely to be contacted if any and what can they do?

Any insight is appreciated

dude seriously goto a decent lawyer and get some real advice this is not the place, for something that serious. I mean really dude this is your life, goto someone who knows what there talking about not a pot head for advice.
