Question campers?

i'm planning on going to the harvest festival in maine in a few weeks and i'm going to be driving a 30 ft camper up there. i am curious to know the rules that the police have to follow concerning searches and all that. i'm under the impression that they differ from cars, but i'm not sure how. i'm not going to be dealing or anything stupid like that, but i have no intention of letting the police tear apart the camper looking for something that is not there leaving me to put it back together. thanks for the help.

Be friendly, Maine police usualy respond well to people who are friendly.....also I doubt they will set up road blocks and search every vehical going the the festival. Maine is a large state with a small state police force. (Certan section of highway are not patrolled at all). Searching everyone going to the festival would be a stretch.

If it's a camper, in the sense that it's all a single unit (a RV), then the same rules that apply to a car apply to it.

If it's a trailer, it can still be searched, without a warrant, if there is probable cause, because of it's mobile nature.
