ok heres my story i was at the board walk (its kinda like an outdoor mall on the beach except it has clubs a hooters and several bars) i was just walkin around lookin for a few new shirts when an undercover officer aproached me showed his badge and iddentified himself and told me to put my hands on the wall and spread my legs apart i asked what have i done wrong and he said that i smell like pot and my eyes are red (i know i didnt smell like pot because i took a shower and changed clothes after i smoked but my eyes were still red) i then refused to let him search me and at that time he pulled out hand cuffs and said he would arest me for "non compliance with a police officer" so since i didnt have any weed on me i let him search me just to get it over with needless to say he found nothing and had to let me go on my way...........did he have the right to search me or threaten to arrest me(i dont think he did)and what could i do about this

Some cops are good cops, some bad. It's basically their word against yours. But no, they're not allowed to search you, but they will always try and intimidate you, otherwise they probably wouldn't be able to arrest half the people they do already.

What i meant to say is that basically if you let them search, then they can search you. If not, they need a warrant. But just redeyes isn't enough... that could be from a cold, from allergies etc... How would they be able to see your red eyes anyway? Just cause some are $@*%U@#$
