I have a story almost identical to this. I had literally just pulled into school and grabbed a fresh OZ from my boy and put it in my console. As I walked into the building I noticed police activity was higher than normal (we usually have one or two cops roaming the school for violence and drug issues). I then noticed an officer with the K9 unit. I thought I was "F-ed in the A" as we say. Knowing that dogs can detect contact for days afterwards, I thought for sure they would smell it on my hands, my backpack and clothes as I had literally just put down an ounce of weed. My first period class was the the only classroom in the entire building to be searched that day. They made us leave our backpacks and leave the room. They found nothing, but my backpack was all disorganized, leading me to believe the dogs had smelled something. Thankfully the dogs weren't strolled past my car... phew.

Gene, that's exactly what I wondered. It would be simple to "taint" an entire building by dropping powder in common areas. I wonder how long the scent would be there?
