I am 17 years old and live in Texas. I was at my high school about a month ago chilling in class when one of the administrators and the school cop pulled me out saying someone had reported to the "District Safeline" that I was in posession of illegal drugs. I was searched and they found a gram and my glass piece in my backpack. Later, they searched my car and found a small non-digital scale. The cop said he would not report the pipe and scale in the police report, only the weed. The school district gave me 30 days in alternative school, but allowed me to return to regular school after 15 days in exchange for completing a drug awareness and lifeskills class. I have all of that completed, but I'm awaiting my court date which is scheduled for October 11th. I have been reporting by phone to a pre-trial officer every Friday. This is my first offense, I am an honor student, and I plan to represent myself well in court (suit and tie, yes sir no sir, etc). What can I expect my sentence to be?

THE DEATH PENALTY! Get the hell out now man. Mexico looks like your best bet but from there you should catch a flight to brazil where you can't be extridited.

ok Seriously though, you will probably be fined no more than $500. If I were you, I would be sure to mention your willingness to cooperate and that you completed the drug awareness course, were let back into school early, and are an honor student. good luck and if all else fails, skip town.

lol cool man, you think I'll get probation? That's what I want to avoid most. I figured I wouldn't have to worry about jail time, and I'm willing to pay a fine and do community service.
