Despite my adoration for Reverend King, and all he stood for, I know why the civil rights movement was successful, in his time.

Not just because there was Martin Luther King Jr. But also because there was ALSO Malcolm X. You can't have one without the other, and expect a good result.

The choice is not between freedom or slavery. It is a choice between life and death. There will be freedom. Martin's way, or Malcolm's way. Those are the only choices. Either Rosa Parks will sit on the bus in peace, or some beefy body guard in her employ will beat the shit out of the illegitimate prick standing in her way... and she will sit on the bus, in peace. Those are the only two choices.

No cop is going to give up the easy paycheque that is cannabis prohibition. It will HAVE to be taken from them. Push comes to shove, they will kill Donald Scott, and not say sorry. They will kill Peter McWilliams and chortle with murderous glee. They will kill Ashley Villareal, and attend her funeral with the express purpose of intimidating her grieving family. They will take what tiny bit of freedom a quadriplegic has... leave him to SUFFOCATE TO DEATH... and never offer any form of restitution AT ALL.

All of the people who did those things are remorseless killers... who took lives for the cheapest and most despicable of reasons: to make a paycheque. There is no reasoning with that level of evil. I'd as soon climb into a tank with a great white shark, with half a mackeral tied to my ass, and explain to him the wisdom of becoming a vegan.

As I have said (maybe you missed it)

I have been TORTURED
I have been RAPED.

I have also been killed, twice.

Again, these are literal facts... not conjecture or metaphor or hyperbole.

So. There is nothing anybody inside, or out, of this movement... can say to frighten me. I've done it all by the age of 18 (I am 31, now). Nothing is a secret to me, now.

And, just on a personal note. I came to this website, and was amazed. What a great, and wonderful resource this is. And, what a marvellous group of people! I felt such an incredible outpouring of love and fellowship from such wonderful, luminous souls as Doc Zombie and MamaBudz and Dedbr.. and all the rest. I was even grateful for the opportunity to debate with Niteshift (even if he was a dick to me, on occasion... looking back I know I deserved it, at least some of the time).

But I see very clearly what the website lacks.
