My buddy was in first year and did this, he swears by it (and smokes a lot, so you know it works ):

Smoke using a billie (metal tube w/ bowl that you stick in plastic bottle...) and cap it after your hit. Exhale through your normal bounce tube setup, but put it inside the sleeve of a thick wool sweater. Bounce tubes usually give off a weird smell, but the wool takes care of that completely by trapping it in.

i tried the downy thing except i held it straight on top of my mouth and it left a brown spot(im guessing from the tar that you are inhaling when you smoke) and sprayed some axe..... but im not sure if anyone could smell it anyways or not... so wouldnt be able to recomment it, im sure its better than nothing though.....

My friends and I used to use a variation on krown's idea. We took an empty two litre soda bottle, punched some holes in the bottom and stuck a bunch of dryer sheets inside. Then we exhaled the smoke into the bottle. All you could smell was the sheets. Worked really well.

Yeah, so I moved into a 4-plex...it's a nice big living space, but I'm concerned that my neighbors above me can smell me smoke. Does anyone have some insight on how much stink travels through walls. I don't care about my appartment, it can stink like weed all day everyday for all I care...it's my neighbors that I'm worried about.

In my youth I had the wonderful obstacle of smoking inside without my parents cathing a wiff of the herbal party going on downstairs. YOu know what I LOVE MARIJUANA, just thought I'd like everyone to know that. Well you can always crack a window to let the smell air out but I never had a window to use. At desperate times a toilet paper roll stuffed with dryer sheets will kill the smell when you exhale through the roll but there is still the smoke coming from the lit bud. What I tried to do was minimize the amount smoke that has not traveled throught the "spoof"... nickname we gave the toilet paper roll. Also, the exhaust fans you have in your bathroom can carry the smell outside, thats what we rely on.

As for smoke traveling through walls, dont worry about that. What you need to worry about is if your chongin up your place and the smoke is traveling through cracks under the door, or maybe the airvents are connected room to room. I dont think you need to really worry about anything else. I just recommend always leaving a window somewhat open so you can let things air out a little.

Burn some incense. Not the cheap dollar store stuff. Get the good incense like at the head shop.

Something I use in conjunction with incense is an air filter/ionizer. There's a really good one at Wally-world for $30. It's made by Holmes and has a charcoal filter and an ionizer. I use one of these in my grow closet. I luuuuuv it. Takes the smell right out of the air.

Nice man i gotta check that out. We have some kind of air filter but I think its just making some kind of loud noise to make us think its doing something positive. The dryer sheets come in handy though if you need something small and cheap to get the job done.

Be careful, we lived in an apartment house with four buildings, 2 downstairs and 2 up with a common lobby entrance leading to the individual apartments and the stairs. We use to blaze like mad fools in that place and one day my upstairs neighbor let me know he could smell it each night by making a comment about how the previous neighbor blazed all the time and he could smell it. Evidently it didn't bother him too much though, because he never reported us and we didn't stop smoking there until we moved out.

i have bought "hello neighbors" from ******** for a few years now
they work great. they only like $6.00 the first time i got one me and 2 friends went to china buffet restraunt and ate and then smoked 2 bowls at our table!! nobody knew a thing. they are great for driving too incase ya get pulled over. just search for Hello Neighbor Odor smoke nuetralizer

yeah just try not to chong the house too much, close the air vents when u smoke because every building has the same ventelation system apartaments, duplex, quadruplex, etc...
