is it okay to send a bong trough the mail? like from the US to Portugal?

If it doesn't have marijuana resin on it, a bong is perfectly legal item. So clean it first.

Furthermore, even if they did find it in the mail, I doubt they would do much about it.

Also, people send illegal things through the mail all the time without getting caught.

But clean it first.

And do a search before posting next time.

And brush your teeth.

To be technical about it -- it is federally prohibited -- that's what they busted Tommy Chong for -- the movement of a bong across state lines the wonderful InterState Commerce Clause (rest in peace Professor Alloway *quack quack*).

On the other, that was a sting on Chong Bongs and he/his son actually was producing these as a money makng proposition AND the US was all up in arms about protecting themselves rom Evil Doers since the sting was right after 9/11. Yeah -- th world was safer with Tommy "Man" Chong behind bars.

You may want to go to the www.USPS.com site to get all the info on how to send something International -- cost, how to box it, etc. so it is picture perfect to take to the Post Office. Just an idea.

So is the general consensus that it is fairly safe to order a smoking piece online and have it shipped to a PO box? I am considering doing this as my local headshop is pricey.

I've ordered several different items, many internationally, that would be of questionable legality.....and never had a problem. I get a kick out of what they call my purchases though.....my dugout was a "wooden collectable" and my pipes/etc were "glass dishware" (international purchases must be labeled on the exterior of the package as to the contents)
