I'm going on a ski trip in a few days to Mont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada. I want to take some marijuana with me...around 1/2 oz to enjoy during my stay. The trip is a group trip planned through my friends college so we are going to be travelling by charter bus. I believe we will be crossing into Canada from New York. The guy in charge of the whole thing said DO NOT bring any drugs, but i'm sure he has to say that to everyone. I still want to take some...

My plan is to wrap up the 1/2 and put it in an emtpy shampoo bottle, then refill the shampoo bottle up and place it with the rest of my cosmetics. Nothing suspicious about that. The only way I think I could possibly get caught is by a dog. Does anyone know if there are dogs at the US/Canada border? Anyone see any problems with what I want to do. Thanks for any help

if i do attempt this, would it be better to have it with my on the bus in a backpack, or should i put it underneath with the rest of the luggage. At first I thought for sure underneath, but then I thought what are the odds of bringing a dog ON the bus. Who knows...

This method is the most popular myth on this board for transporting weed, and the first place for Customs Officers to look. It is clearly visible in an x-ray, too. While I cannot speak to your direct question, I can tell you that transporting weed internationally is a huge risk! You, and every other passenger on that bus, will suffer through hours of hassle, in-depth questioning, and possible arrest - and if you get past that grief, shortly afterwards your bus mates will likely add to your misery.

It is suspicious to be taking a large home-style bottle of shampoo on a three day trip, routine travellers don't do this.

Weed is cheap and easy to get in Canada. Taking it across the border is an unnecessary risk.

hey it is cheap and easy to find here in canada but all u can really do is take buzzby advice and dont take weed on the bus cause chances are they will search, the borders between canada and usa are very strict due to the terroist threats and drugs already being smuggled thru canadian borders, keep in mind their not stupid and if they suspect you have drugs they wont stop searching untill they find something, but just look for someone thats younger that u think might smoke you can usually tell these kinda things if ur a smoker yourself. and just explain ur situation, let him know you came from america with no buds and need find a hook up, u might get turned down a few times but someone will help out

Weed is fairly easy to get in British Columbia, but if I were to go there for three days, I would probably have difficulty finding some. I really don't want to walk up to people and ask if they have any for sale, and I equally don't really want to walk up to characters who obviously have some, for fear of being mugged (Granted, I'm kind of paranoid due to the fact that I was mugged two weeks ago by a group of six people looking for pot). As a result, bringing some could be my only way to have some for the trip, especially if it was a short one.

However, the above being said, I still feel that bringing marijuana across a border is an unnecessary risk. I personally would either hope that I happened to stumble across some, or just stay sober for the trip. It should still be fun anyways!
