I recently got into a fight with my girlfriend she went completely crazy and started hitting and screaming so i asked her to leave, she didn't. It was just the two of us and my little sister at home so i had no option but to pick her up and i mean literally pick her up and throw her out of my house. She didn't like that very much, my sister let her back inside because she felt bad so i called the pigs i don't know what i was thinking! The cops came and questioned everyone. i had bite marks and bruises where she attacked me but she was pretty banged up too from falling down the stone steps leading up to my house. She told the police that i attacked her which was complete lie so he placed me under arrest and puts me in his car. NOW to the point....everything was going fine until Mr.Piggy decides it's kinda cold outside so he goes into my room to get a jacket when he was going through the pockets he finds a pill container with my name and approximately 20 grams in it. Now how it got there is beyond me that was my girlfriends stash so i think she put it there and then told them that i had it. When i tried to explain this to the cops they pretty much laughed. But anyway I was wondering what i will see in my near future. What wil happen in court? Will i get probation? Was the cop allowed to go through my stuff without permission? Im a senior in highschool and get good grades i have also never been in trouble, do you think they will cut me some slack?

Son, a word from a wise old man. Regardless of the circumstances, that she started it and she hit you, you had one choice - leave. It is not fair, but look into the VAWA, a huge case of misandry. You cannot do what you did, by both federal and state law - and her word is all it will take to convict you. The pot is the least of your problems right now. The domestic violence conviction will impact your life ten-fold. Get a lawyer, NOW! Not a public defender - a paid lawyer. If your parents truely understood the problems you face they should sell their house to defend you, if that is what it takes. You absolutely cannot have contact with this "girlfriend" - not face-to-face, not by phone, not by text message, not by a third party. Anything you do now will only add to the penalty later. You are in a heap of trouble, son - and the pot is not it.

I am meeting with my lawyer Monday, he is supposedly one of the best in Atlanta. If anyone remembers the hockey player for the Thrashers, Danny Heatley that got into the bad DUI accident, i will have the same lawyer. And as far as the girl Bart, shes gone i changed schools, which by the way sucks my senior year, but it's probably for the best or so iv'e heard about a thousand times and counting. Anyway most of the fight happened in my room so my sister only saw me showing my girlfriend or i guess i should be saying ex-girlfrind to the door, she wasn't much help to me in this whole situation,i wish she could have seen the whole thing. So i'm kinda interested Chronrunner how did you get caught "about" 2 times, and how do you suggest that i go about bribing the judge???? I think you have been watching a little too much TV. Honestly who in the hell would try to bribe the judge???? But anyway no one has answered my question about whether or not it was legal for the cops to look through my jacket.

Yes, it was legal. Prior to providing you the jacket, he needed to make sure it did not contain any weapons - makes sense right? But I'm guessing that he had some additional permission beyond that - like he asked you where your jacket was? The container has your name on it, but it is not yours. What scenario created that circumstance? By the way, very glad to hear you are getting a good attorney, and not having contact with that (rhymes with itch). A lot of young men think they can work things out and fix it themselves.

He had no permission at all i was already out in his car when he decides that it is cold outside. Too bad they didn't even let me wear the jacket. Which leads me to believe that the "itch" put it in my jacket pocket and told them it was there, i know it wasn't in there before the cops came because i saw it in her hand. The container had my name on it because it was an old pill container that i gave to the "itch" . I am considering a polygraph due to the fact it wasn't mine even though it's not admissable in court. At least everyone will know that i am telling the truth and might believe me when i tell them that i didn't attack her like she said i did.
